Whether traveling by land or air, Oakland is easy to get to. Oakland International Airport (OAK) is less than 10 miles from the downtown area, BART has two stops in downtown Oakland, Amtrak runs through Oakland with a stop at Jack London Square as does Greyhound. If driving, the downtown area is easily accessible from I-980/880.

BART
Get off at either the 19th Street or Lake Merritt stops and follow the signs to the start. Both stops are about 1 mile from the start area.

PARKING
- City Center West Garage (entrance on Jefferson Street or MLK Jr. Way between 12th and 14th) - FREE Parking for 1,100 cars. Opens at 6 a.m.
- Douglas Parking will open the following lots free of charge on race day (signs will be posted on the pay boxes advertising the free parking.)

- City Center Garage (entrance on 11th Street between Clay Street and Broadway; also entrance on 14th Street) - $5 Parking all day
